Moon-Venus Conjunction - August 10, 2021

Heads up! On August 10, 2021, A spectacular astronomical event will be visible above our heads.

Our very own natural satellite, the Moon will share a right ascension with the Evening Star, Venus. This is an astronomical event called a conjunction.

It is expected to be a wonderful view as Venus is known as the brightest object in the night sky next to the Sun and the Moon.

What’s even more exciting is that at this event, the Moon will be relatively new in its phase as it is only a few days after the New Moon. This means that the Moon would be thin during this event.

The event will take place after sunset, near the West horizon. Moon and Venus are expected to be as close as 3 degrees. Check out this view from Stellarium Mobile!
