If you are lucky enough to be residing in the Southernmost part of South America and nearby areas, prepare to witness a Partial Solar Eclipse this weekend!
Before anything else, we would like to remind everyone to use proper solar filters and solar equipment when observing the Sun. Observing the Sun with the naked eye can cause permanent eye damage.
During a Solar Eclipse, our very own natural satellite, the Moon, will be between Earth and Sun. This results in a circular shadow when observing the Sun.
For this coming eclipse, the Sun is expected to be covered at about 40% at maximum.
